The year 2020 brought extraordinary experiences to all of us, nearly in every aspect of life, including scientific communication and publishing. COVID-19 was novel as a subject of investigation with too many unknown features and radiology played a pivotal role in the diagnosis of this disease. New findings and observations encountered during this unprecedented fight against the disease instantly and successfully converted into scientific research. Since developing a hypothesis did not require high-end or ultra-new technology, many radiologists could involve in this global research wind. In addition, the new concept of flexible or remote working life probably allowed some authors to find more time to spend on their shelved manuscripts. These factors resulted in an explosion of manuscript submissions to all journals including Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology (Needless to say, COVID-19 had a negative impact on productivity of many. My deepest condolences to those of you who had to cope with grief and loss in 2020. I also would like to acknowledge that remote working life increased responsibility of many at home).

I will save information on the evaluation process of the changes in parameters of manuscripts and per year c
