    Dr. Konikoff grew up in Hampton Roads, and attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate education. He graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical honors society granted to top students. He completed his pediatric residency and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He also obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Cincinnati. He was excited to return to Hampton Roads and provide compassionate care to children at CHKD. Dr. Konikoff participates in the ImproveCareNow Network, a multi-center collaborative that provides quality improvement techniques and tools to providers to achieve model inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) care practices. It is supported by the American Board of Pediatrics, the Alliance for Pediatric Quality, the Centers for Education and Research in Therapeutics, the US Agency for Health Care Quality and Research, the National Institutes of Health, and participating institutions.
